FAQs

When will this be available?

It’s out now! Go to the Meta app labs and get it!

Do I need a VR headset to experience this?

Yes. You need an Oculus Quest 2, Quest 3 or Quest pro in order to experience this.

Will this be available for other headsets such as the HTC Vive?

At the moment we’re only developing this for the Quest 2 and 3. However, if this is successful, we’ll consider creating this for other platforms as well.

Is this an interactive experience where I can choose where to go?

This is not an interactive experience. It’s a passive, immersive VR experience. The idea is that you sit back, and let the high res visuals and high quality music run over you. You can look around all you want though.

How much disk space / bandwidth do I need?

A lot. You need to have at least 25gb free space for the entire album, but you can also download individual tracks. We don’t allow streaming because of the reduced quality.
Each track needs to be downloaded fully before watching, which will require a good internet connection.

Is all the music original music?

Yes - all of the musical compositions are original scores, created for these fractals. Most of the scores are mixed binaural.

I get nauseous easily. Will this give me VR sickness?

We’ve taken a lot of precautions to make this as fluid and easy as possible on the stomach. The 60fps of the renders will help with that, as well as the very careful camera animations. But it can’t be ruled out entirely of course.

How long did it take to render?

The entire album has been rendered in fractal software Mandelbulb3D. Julius utilizes a render farm to render and estimates that this took at least six months of rendering.
