Nascence

ft. David Levy

How do simple processes give rise to complexity?

In Nascence, Julius explores how nature is able to give rise to complexity from such simple beginnings. He compares the relatively simple fractal formulas to DNA – the ancient replicator that has spawned all organic beauty in the world. The phenotypical expressions of the fractals are often just as surprising.

David Levy is Julius’ most frequent collaborator. He has scored exhibitions such as Geometric Properties, and the dome film Fractal Time. He is probably most known for his music in the Doom video game series. David created a delightfully classical score for Nascence, flawlessly weaving melodies through the cornucopia of shapes and colors we encounter, ending in a blissful denouement.

To top it all off, Richard Burki created immersive sound effects breathing life into each of the fractal ecosystems we encounter.
