"At moments Recombination gives you a 'quasi religious experience'. The wonder of all that math is analogous to the wonder of nature.”

-Ben Procter, Production Designer, Avatar sequels

“I loved working on the music for Julius' stereoscopic fractaline dive, I got lost in the structures and the scale. I hope you can hear my passion for the project in there, and congratulations Julius and the rest of the composers involved for an such a beautiful and enjoyable immersive experience.”

- Max Cooper, composer

"A mind-bending trip! I watched the VR movies and was overwhelmed by their auditory and visual power.”

Recombination is the latest project from visionary fractal artist Julius Horsthuis. Realizing that the best way to enjoy his work is immersion, he collaborated with seven of his favorite musicians in order to create an abstract journey through music, space and mathematics.

In order to get the most out of the hardware’s capabilities, Julius rendered the album in the highest possible resolution. The details in the fractals need to be experienced fully, therefor, we decided to make this album downloadable only, so it can’t be streamed. This means that patience and fast internet are required. But we promise it will be worth your time.
